About this form

You are a member of TGEU (or are applying to become one)? You are trans and consider yourself an artist? You would like to present your work to the community? TGEU invites all Council participants to submit a performance or exhibition proposal. Feel free to be creative! Proposals will be reviewed by TGEU Board and Staff and the selection will be mindful of the Council’s space, time, and budget capacity.

We especially encourage trans people from further marginalised backgrounds to come forward, including Black people and People of Colour, D/deaf and disabled people, people with a migration background, sex workers, trans women, and gender-non-conforming people, people living with HIV, and people from Western Europe and Central Asia. We will give priority to trans and queer activists from TGEU member organisations and underrepresented groups. You're not a member yet? Become one! More info on why and how to become a member here.

Requirement:
  • Be registered as a Council attendee (in-person Council)

Background information
  • About TGEU
TGEU is a membership-based network and represents more than 180 member organisations in 47 countries. TGEU’s mission is to strengthen the rights and wellbeing of trans people in Europe and Central Asia. We strive to represent the diverse needs of our members within human rights mechanisms, build the capacity and skills of our members to meet the needs of local communities, and develop intersectional and decolonised programmes to build more resilient and connected trans movements.
  • About the TGEU European and Central Asian Trans Council
The Council is the first and largest gathering of political trans activists in Europe and Central Asia. With around 250 participants every second year, the Council is both a forum setting the agenda for trans politics and a celebration of the trans community. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, TGEU’s Board made the difficult decision to cancel the in-person 2020 Council and hold the General Assembly online.

We hope that 2022 will finally be the right year for us to meet! The Council will be in Berlin, Germany, between 29 September and 2 October 2022. We are carefully preparing the Council to finally bring trans activists together while best protecting our community. We are expecting about 200 activists to attend.
