Questionnaire of existing initiatives, policies and instruments for the sustainable use and conservation of pollinators |
Background:
FAO’s Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture addresses issues related to the management of biodiversity of relevance to food and agriculture, including invertebrate pollinators. In the context of its work plan on Micro-Organisms and Invertebrates Genetic Resources, it aims to (a) raise awareness of the importance of pollinators, (b) promote their uptake in projects and policies and (c) strengthen potential collaboration between FAO and relevant organizations and initiatives.
As a first step towards these aims, we would like to take stock of all the work that is currently being undertaken (or projected to start in the future) around the world on invertebrate pollinators and/or pollination.
Who should respond: Anyone who is involved in or knows of a pollinator-related activity or policy.
The outcomes of the survey will be included in a report presented at the Eighteenth Regular Session of the Commission (CGRFA-18, planned for the last week of September 2021) and will be used towards recommendations of the activities of the Commission and its partners.
By completing the survey, you agree that information provided on the invertebrate pollinator-related activity may be posted and showcased on the FAO pollination website; information from the survey on names and contact information will be kept confidential.
Each survey submission is for one pollinator-related activity or policy. You may fill out the survey multiple times if you are submitting information about multiple pollinator-related activities or policies.
The survey will be closed Monday March 22. If you have further questions or clarifications please email Hien Ngo (hien.ngo@fao.org)
