Greetings
Which strategy enables companies to operationalize sustainability for their own context and how can the fulfilment of sustainability goals be measured? How can products, services and business models be developed and aligned with ESG criteria? How must the innovation and development process be designed to promote the development of sustainable innovations? What organizational and cultural preconditions are needed to anchor sustainability in the company?
More than ever, these are central questions in the innovation management of manufacturing companies. A modern and holistic understanding of sustainability in innovation management is therefore of decisive importance for the success of strategic decisions. Especially in times of economic volatility, many challenges arise, but equally promising potentials.
Therefore, we, the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL | RWTH Aachen University and the Complexity Management Academy, in cooperation with an industry consortium, would like to identify field-tested and successful practices for the management of sustainable innovations.
Use the benchmarking study "Managing Sustainable Innovations" to critically examine your own approach, to receive further impulses and to inform yourself about successful methods based on the study results.
We look forward to your participation!
With best regards
Prof. Dr. Günther Schuh
Director of the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering WZL | RWTH Aachen University and Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology IPT
