ILGA World Recruitment: Programme Officer (Sex Characteristics and Intersex Issues)

ILGA World seeks a Programme Officer to work in the context of its Gender Identity & Expression and Sex Characteristics Programme (GIESC Programme). The GIESC programme roots in the assessment that violence, discrimination and prejudice of persons of diverse SOGIESC has a common cause: the cis-endosex-heteronormative social model in which gender and sex are perceived as binary, mutually exclusive and a consequence of a person’s body.

The role of the Programme Officer will be to cover  predominantly sex characteristics and intersex aspects of the GIESC Programme  in close cooperation with the Senior Programme Officer of the GIESC programme and under the supervision of the Director of Programmes. The role requires to work closely with intersex communities and organisations across the globe. The GIESC Programme is supervised by the Director of Programmes and  works with trans and intersex communities alike. : Job Description
