Survey on prevalence of PKD2-founder variant in Europe |
Recently, a PKD2-founder variant was identified, accounting for 20% of the PKD2-population in Taiwan. Interestingly, preliminary data indicate that this variant may be frequently present in Europe as well.
In a collaborative project with our Taiwanese colleagues, we at Charité Berlin are compiling a transnational cohort of individuals with this founder variant for joint analyses.
