Raum ist sowohl wörtlich als auch im übertragenen Sinne von entscheidender Bedeutung für die Vermittlung. Indem der Gropius Bau Räume für freie Gruppen, Initiativen oder Projekte aus der Stadt zur Verfügung stellt, sollen gemeinsam mit diesen Partner*innen aktuelle Themen und Fragestellungen von Kunst und Vermittlung weiterentwickelt und das Haus für neues Publikum geöffnet werden.
Space, both literally and metaphorically, is vital for education. In opening up physical spaces to independent groups and projects, the Gropius Bau would like to work with partners in the city on current issues and questions of art and education, and to open up the house to new audiences.
Der Gropius Bau schreibt zum zweiten Mal das mehrmonatige Projekt "Gropius Bau Raum geben" aus, das den Bedarf an Räumen für Vermittlungsarbeit in Berlin aufgreift. Die Projektpartner*innen sind eingeladen, Atelier- und Ausstellungsräume des Gropius Bau für ihre Vermittlungsarbeit als Orte zum Lernen, Arbeiten und für Begegnungen zu nutzen. Die Räume sollen regelmäßig für die Besucher*innen des Gropius Bau öffentlich zugänglich sein. Eine Fachjury wählt aus allen Einreichungen ein Projekt aus, das ab September 2020 beginnt.
For the second time, the Gropius Bau is putting out an open call for the project "Gropius Bau Giving Space", which will last several months and responds to the need for spaces for art education work in Berlin. The project partners are invited to use a workshop and an exhibition space at the Gropius Bau as places of learning, working and meeting for their educational project. The spaces should be regularly made accessible to visitors of the Gropius Bau. From all submissions, a jury will select one project, which starts in September 2020.
