Currently, in reaction to the  COVID-19 crisis, most consulting firms have largely eliminated the day-to-day travel normally required of their client-facing staff. Furthermore, many firms have also significantly reduced the time client-facing staff and consultants spend face-to-face with their clients, e.g. during project delivery. These two measures alone have drastically altered (many would argue for the better) the work-life-balance generally offered by the consulting industry.

Undoubtedly, COVID-19 will also have a number of long-term effects on how consulting firms operate and deliver their services. We have thus decided to undertake the following survey in order to find out whether the measures currently taken and implemented by firms represent temporary solutions or a “paradigm shift” in how the consulting industry operates. We are also particularly interested in finding out if these changes also have an effect on job descriptions and on remuneration, especially for your client-facing staff (“consultants”).

The current nature of the topic requires a very short processing time for this Pulse Survey. Therefore, the data submission deadline (survey “close”) is September 30th, 2020.

The survey results may be shared with all survey respondents in the beginning of October 2020 (there is no cost charged for your participation and/or for the survey results). Please also note that detailed survey results will only be shared with survey respondents.

We want to thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback on this current and pertinent topic! Please also respond should this topic be less relevant to your firm.
