Introduction

World Prematurity Day on November 17, 2016 is a key moment to generate global attention on the leading cause of deaths of children under 5 - complications from preterm birth – which is killing over one million babies each year (UNICEF, 2016). In order to elevate preterm birth in the global health and development agendas, we want to track the various activities from events to social media and blogs to media coverage. By capturing all that happens on or around World Prematurity Day, we can visualize and document the impact of our worldwide, diverse community. The collective effort is what will advance prevention of preterm birth and ensure the best start in life for our babies.

The information you provide in this survey will be collected and put into a global dashboard which will be used to access impact and reach of World Prematurity Day. It doesn’t matter if you cannot give input to all the requested information – anything you tell us about your World Prematurity Day activities / events helps us to create the big picture and to show the importance of this special day.

We would be delighted if you can send some photos of your activities/ events and, if you want to share, presentations, videos etc. you prepared for World-Prematurity-Day to event@efcni.org (If your material has more than 10 MB, please send it via a file sharing service).

Please complete the survey by 4 December 2016.

In case of questions, please feel free to contact event@efcni.org.

Thank you for your action, efforts and information.

Sincerely

Kadi Toure - on behalf of the World Prematurity Day coordinating group
